COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP We thank the many non-profit organizations with whom we work for the positive impact they have in their communities. Here are a few: VACFSS Aboriginal Mother Centre Society SACRED It's about peopleā€¦ Over the last year, we were honoured to partner with more than 60 organizations that support Indigenous peoples and communities. Here are a few initiatives that drive our community involvement: Youth and Education We continue to support the integration of Indigenous arts, cultures, and history into curriculum. Through our literacy project, A Book in Every Home, proceeds from Native Explore learning tools provide thousands of books to Indigenous children. We support anti-bullying awareness and safe spaces through the production of our Pink Shirt Day t-shirts. Community Health and Conversation We believe in starting conversations and encouraging people to open up to those around them as a means of making change. To support a path to well-being and suicide prevention, we created The Journey of Hope posters, given free of charge to 2,000 community spaces. We support Orange Shirt Day through the design and sale of orange t-shirts. Funds from these sales go to survivors, the promotion of awareness, and education on the impact of the Residential School System. Information on our Truth and Reconciliation poster, now in over 9000 classrooms, can be found on p.173. Women and Families A portion of proceeds from our Sacred Shawl collection has already been directed to carefully chosen women's organizations that protect, bring healing, and build awareness to end violence against women. Join us! Native Northwest wants to know how we can expand our support to Indigenous initiatives in your community. Please contact us at with partnership opportunities near you.
